Day ticket waters

There are many day ticket waters local to the shop from busy commercials to quiet farm pools, I’ve put a small list together of some of what I feel are the better waters for you to visit.

Don’t forget Loughborough Soar Long Eaton Fed and The Earl of Harrington also offer day tickets to much of their waters for more details of these check out local clubs.

Rycroft Fisheries at Hemmington

A very popular fishery that is more towards a commercial water. Its a stones throw from the shop being just off of the A50 on the Long Eaton Castle Donington junction.

Very well kept there are a number of lakes to suit most abilities whether your after a day catch Silvers Tench or Carp Rycroft will keep you busy, There’s also a cafe on site and plenty of parking.

A popular match venue with clubs and opens.

Springwood Fisheries Melbourne

About a 15 minute drive from our shop, Springwood fisheries is set in the National forest just outside Melbourne. Fishing is from 7am to dusk all year round, with to lakes and a good head of mixed stock catering for all abilities. A very well kept fishery with loads of parking and ease access to the lakes, there’s also a cafe and toilets on site.

Idea for a family day out with local attractions like Staunton Harold and Melbourne hall for the non angler to visit will the angler fishes.

Coopers Arms Fishery Weston on  Trent

About 15 – 20 mins drive from the shop Coopers lake is set in the grounds of the Cooper Arms country pub and restaurant. A well stocked mixed fishery with 35 pegs with ease access and lots of parking.

Pikes Oak Farm Widmerpool

A lovely little fishery situated just on the Nottinghamshire Leicestershire border. Approx 1 acre in size and stocked with Bream, Tench, Carp, Rudd and Roach. Fantastic for pole and light float fishing. The site also caters for up to 5 caravans. Phoebe’s Fishery Old Dalby

A lovely fishery on the back of a farm. Well looked after and ideal for younsters as it’s stuff full of small fish like Rudd and Roach that’ll keep them interested, Theres also Tench and Carp.
